Celebrating Our Environmental Impact Award from Fusion Charlottetown

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from Black Cat Woodcraft! This week, Mel had the honour of accepting Fusion Charlottetown’s Environmental Impact Award on behalf of our team – a recognition that means the world to us as relative newcomers to PEI’s heritage restoration scene.

When we started this journey, we knew we wanted to do things differently. Heritage restoration is about more than just preserving old buildings; it’s about honouring the craftsmanship of those who came before us while embracing sustainable practices for those who come after. This award validates that vision and reminds us why we do what we do.

As the new faces of heritage restoration on Prince Edward Island, we’re committed to carrying forward the traditions and meticulous craftsmanship that define our Island’s architectural heritage. But we’re also looking ahead, integrating future-forward practices rooted in environmental sustainability. Every project we undertake balances respect for historical authenticity with responsible stewardship of our resources.

Thank you to Fusion Charlottetown for this recognition, and to our clients and community partners who trust us with their heritage properties. Here’s to preserving the past while building a more sustainable future.
